Press Release
MEREDITH --- Picture this. You’re tucked under a magnetic comforter, sipping purified water, breathing ozone-free air and awakening to shower with Vitamin C-infused water. Sound intriguing? Well, this latest feel-good trend has kicked off right here in the Lakes Region with a new Wellness Room at the Inn at Church Landing.
Even the insomniac should nod off quickly on the king sized patented Kenko Sleep System, designers insist. The viscoelastic memory foam mattress features magnetic technology that reacts to pressure and temperature for a custom fit and support, a spokesman said.
Interest was immediately sparked about this unique overnight guest room when it opened late last month. ``We just mentioned it in our newsletter and people are already calling and asking for it,’’ said Megan King, front office manager. One guest reported feeling ``energized’’ after spending the night in the Wellness Room, she added.
Ann Brienza, a certified Nikken Independent Wellness Consultant, said the suite is the first Wellness Room her company has designed in New Hampshire. Brienza, who hosts monthly wellness seminars at the Inn with her partner, Nancy Lindbloom, said another large hotel on the Seacoast is also considering adding a Wellness Room.
Wellness Rooms are fast becoming a travel trend, according to Brienza. In fact, the sleep system- recently received the endorsement of the World Federation of Chiropractic, she added.
Along with the custom mattress and magnetic pillows, a comforter features far-infrared technologies that capture and re-emit energies and control temperature for all-season comfort, according to the firm. The sleep system was designed to offer a relaxing and refreshing night’s sleep, contributing to overall wellness.
Then, of course, there is breathing. The Air Wellness Power 5 air filtration system features five stages of filtration to remove impurities including ozone, said Gail Batstone, general manager of the Inns at Mill Falls. The system features an optional aromatherapy system with a choice of fragrances to enhance relaxation.
Thirsty? Well, pour a refreshing glass of PiMag water filtered with magnetic energy and ceramics from deep sea coral. The multiple-stage technology uses a gravity flow system that purifies the countertop tank in just four hours. The less acidic water is more in harmony with your natural fluids, the company promises. ``Mineral elements produce pi water, a discovery known in Japan as ‘the water of life,’’ the brochure declares.
And then, a shower. Ahhh. The PiMag shower head uses magnets and filtration technologies to remove impurities. The Vitalizing Shower adds negative ions and infuses the water with Vitamin C, allowing the body to naturally absorb the vitamin for better hydration and moisturization of the skin.
Depending on the season, you can enjoy this Wellness Room for $239 to $299 per night, double occupancy. That means you both can sleep, breath, drink and be infused with Vitamin C complete with fireplace and a balcony overlooking Lake Winnipesaukee.
The view is free.
